What to Expect

Itinerary

DAY 1 - Ouarzazat-Anti Atlas Mountains - Draa Valley - Zagora Palm Grove - Jbel Bani - Oumlachar Pass - Afredou Well.( 2 Hours Walking)

Start your adventure! In the morning will pick you up from your accommodation in the city and then drive south towards the Sahara desert crossing the anty atlas mountains via tizin’tzazert pass to join Draa Valley which contains the Biggest palm oasis in Morocco and driving next to it till zagora palms grove, afterward will drive to Bani mountain the departure point of our trekking where we will meet our Berber team with camels. then begin the trek by climbing the Bani mountain through Oumlachar pass and head to Tifrsit well to set camp for the first night in the Sahara desert under the starry sky.

Day 2 - Afredou Well - Diabi Oasis - Lamhaser Valley - Amssafy Lake - Iminouasef. (5 Hours Walking)

In the morning our Berber team will package the luggage on the camels and then start our day trekking towards Diabi oasis which is surrounded by mountains where we will stop to get water from a well before we countinue through Lamhaser Valley which usually contains water passing by Amssafy lake where we will have lunch under the shade of an acacia tree, afterward we will countinue our way and we will visit a nomadic family which is living in the desert before we built our camp a range woods from acacia trees for fire and cock bread in a traditional woven for the second night in the desert under the starry sky.

DAY 3 - Iminouasef - Crossing A Rocky Plateau - Latach Dunes. (6 Hours Walking)

After breakfast, our Berber team will load the camels and get ready to countinue our adventure. Today we will leave the mountain scenery and hike towards the first sand dunes by crossing a rocky plateau through the Accacia trees before we stop in a shadowy one for lunch. afterward, we will countinue our walk through some small hills before we get into the sand dunes then set our camp near some big tamarisk and range woods for fire to prepare bread on the embers as the nomads do for the third night in the desert under the starry sky.

DAY 4 - Latach Dunes - Hiking Through A Dry River - Erg Smare Dunes. (5 Hours Walking)

Get up early to admire a desert sunrise from the dunes then start our day trekking into the real Sahara passing between the dunes of Sedrat and Khartlkrzem through a dry river before we have a stop for lunch then countinue to the dunes of Smare where we will set up the camp and range woods for fire and prepare bread on embers as the nomads do. night under the starlit sky.

DAY 5 - Erg Smart Dunes - Hiking Through Golden Dunes - Big Sand Dunes Of Zahar. (5 Hours Walking)

In the morning our team will package the luggage on the camels and then trek via the color dunes of Smar before we cross a small reg then get to the big dune of Zahar (200m), upon our arrival we will build the tents near the dune then have lunch and have a relaxing time. afterward, we will appoint the evening period to explore the dune of Zahar and enjoy a great sunset from the summit of the dune (200m) and a span of 40 km around the desert. At night we will gather around the fire preparing local tea and singing Berber music.

DAY 6 - Zahar Dunes - Crossing Draa River - Hiking Through Tamarisk - Tilhari Dunes. (5 Hours Walking)

Get up early to admire a magical desert sunrise from the highest dune before we have breakfast then load the camels and hike to the north toward the dunes of Tilhatine in our way we will cross the Draa River then countinue through some dead tamarisk and cross some small regs before we reach a shady tree and stop for lunch, afterward, we will follow our caravan team to the dunes of Tilhatin where we will build our desert camp to spend your last desert night around a campfire singing some local songs with our Berber team.

Day 7 - Tislatin Dunes - M'hamid Village - Zagora Palm Grove - Draa Valley -Anti Atlas Mountains - Ouarzazate

In the early morning, our 4×4 vehicle will join us for the road back to Ouarzazate, driving offroad for about 2 hours to reach M’hamid village where we will join the Tarmac road and drive via the national road N9 passing by Zagora palm grove through Draa valley before
Departure Time.
