What to Expect

Itinerary

DAY 1 - Ouarzazate - Aunty Atlas Mountains - Draa Valley - Zagora Palm Grove - M’hamed Village. (1 Hour Walking)

Start your adventure from your accommodation in the city at 8:00 pm, driving south toward the Sahara desert, crossing the anti-Atlas mountains, then head to Draa Valley which has the biggest palm oasis in Morocco, arriving at M’hamed village where the tarmac road ends, here we will meet our camel leaders team then put on our luggage on the camels and walk about one hour to get to the oasis. where we will set up the camp for your first desert night under the starry sky.

Day 2 - Walking In The Oasis - Sidi Naji Sharing - Hiking In Small Dunes - Azalay Well. (5/5 Hours Walking )

Get up early to attend the first desert sunrise on the dunes, have a rich breakfast in the open air or in a nomad tent then start our day trekking in the shade of palm trees before we get out of the oasis and hiking in the real desert following our caravan team, after two hours we will stop in the shade of a tamarisk tree for lunch near a shrine called Sidi Naji, afterward we will continue our desert adventure hiking in small dunes before we set up our camp in the middle of the dunes near the well of Azalay.

DAY 3 - Azalay Will - Crossing A Red - Big Sand Dune Of Zahar. (4 Hours Walking).

After our luggage has been packaged on the camels by our team, we will continue our desert trek through small dunes then crossing a reg before we arrive at the big sand dune of Zahar (200 m) where we will build our tents then have the lunch and relax for a while, We will appoint the evening period to explore the dune of the Zahar and enjoy a great sunset from the summit of the dune (200m) and spam of 40 km around the desert.at night we will gather around the fire to prepare local tea and sing Berber music.

DAY 4 - Zahar Dune - Crossing A Dry River - Smar Dunes. (5 Hours Walking)

Get early to admire a magical sunrise with the morning breeze in the dunes then have a rich breakfast and get ready for the trekking getting out from the dunes, cross a dry river, and stop at the well of Smar where you can take a shower in the open air and give water to our camels then have lunch in a shadow tree, afterward we will walk among the different desert plants until we reach the golden dunes of Smar where we will build our camp and range woods for fire.at night we will prepare bread on the embers like nomads.

DAY 5 - Smare Dunes - Crossing A Reg - Sedrat Dunes - Khart Elgarzem Dunes. ( 5 Hours Walking).

Today we will hike toward the dunes of Khart Elkharzem in our way you can spot some desert animals such as deer, after about two hours we will stop for lunch, then continue on the rhythm of our caravan to the dunes, upon our arrival you can ride camels while you enjoying your last desert sunset on the dunes.

DAY 6 - Khart Elgarzem Dunes - Iriki Dry Lake - Old Paris Dakar Route - Foum Zguid Village - Ouarzazate.

In the morning our jeep 4×4 vehicle will join us for the road back to Ouarzazate, crossing the dry lake of Iriki and driving off track via the old Paris Dakar route until Foumzguid village where we will join the tarmac road and drive to Ouarzazate then drop you off to your accommodation….end of the trek.
DEPARTURE FROM OUARZAZATE AEROPORT: at your departure, we will transfer you from your accommodation to the airport for your flight back.
